HONDA Civic 2010 (JDM) Wireless CarPlay Radio w/ Reverse Camera & Front Speaker Upgrade

Original Setup:

  • Factory Radio
  • Factory Reverse Camera
  • 6.5 inch Front Door Speakers

New Setup:

  • Kenwood Wireless CarPlay Radio
  • HD Super Night Vision Reverse Camera
  • Sony GS Component Speakers.

Upgrade Details:

The factory-installed radio in this Japanese-imported vehicle was completely non-functional—no sound, no usable radio stations, and the interface was entirely in Japanese, making it impractical for everyday use. On top of that, the reverse camera wasn’t connected.

To modernize the system, we installed a Kenwood DMX9021S head unit, featuring Wireless Apple CarPlay and a crisp, high-resolution HD display. We also added a new HD reverse camera, providing clear visuals and making parking much easier and safer.

The blown front door speakers were replaced with Sony GS component speakers, offering a dramatic upgrade in sound quality. The tweeters were cleanly relocated from their original dash-top position and mounted behind the factory grilles, delivering a crisp, well-balanced sound with excellent bass response—all while maintaining a clean, factory-style finish.

To complete the install, we used Aerpro integration components, allowing the new head unit to fit seamlessly into the dash. The upgrade retained full use of the air conditioning controls, now managed through the updated fascia panel for a sleek, factory-integrated look.
